Job Title: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Reports To: Clinical Director
Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, the Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is responsible for
addressing the behavioral and functional needs of clients through individual and group therapy
sessions. The BCBA plays a key role in developing and implementing behavior intervention
plans and supervising other behavioral staff. They also act as a liaison between assigned
program areas to ensure comprehensive and effective client care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The BCBA must be able to perform the following duties and responsibilities without
posing a significant risk of substantial harm to the health or safety of themselves or
others:
- Provide group, individual, and family therapy sessions for a variety of clients in clinic and
community settings.
- Help create a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for all employees and
clients.
- Formulate and document client diagnoses in accordance with DSM-5 TR criteria.
- Conduct intake interviews and behavioral assessments to determine appropriate levels
of care and service needs.
- Develop and update treatment plans utilizing person-centered, evidence-based
interventions and goals that are SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic,
and Time-bound).
- Maintain accurate client records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with
accreditation, regulatory, and agency requirements.
- Obtain prior authorizations for services as required by the caseload.
- Complete progress notes for each session/client within 48 hours to maintain timely
documentation.
- Identify case management needs and make appropriate referrals for services outside of
behavior analysis when necessary.
- Participate in staff meetings, quality assurance meetings, and utilization reviews to
ensure continuous improvement in service delivery.
- Maintain all necessary licensure, training, and Continuing Education Unit (CEU)
requirements.
- Schedule, cancel, or reschedule client visits as needed to meet the clinical demands of
the caseload.
- Communicate and collaborate with other healthcare providers in the agency regarding
patient care.
- Perform routine office tasks as needed, such as vacuuming, dusting, taking out the
trash, and maintaining bathroom cleanliness, as directed by the Practice Administrator.
- Supervise and support Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Behavioral
Technicians (BTs) according to the Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts.
- Supervise BCBA fieldwork students, following the standards outlined in the Ethics Code
for Behavior Analysts.
- Deliver 1:1 direct therapy sessions (97153) for adaptive behavior treatment by protocol,
when necessary.
- Provide adaptive behavior treatment with protocol modifications (97155) as outlined in
the client’s Plan of Care.
- Deliver family adaptive behavior treatment guidance (97156) in accordance with
recommended hours in the client’s Plan of Care.
- Conduct standardized and skills-based behavioral assessments to inform treatment
planning.
- Complete RBT initial competency assessments and renewal competency assessments
as required.
Licensure: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in the
state of Kentucky, either independently or under supervision.
Skills:

- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Other Requirements:
- Valid Kentucky driver’s license.
- Acceptable background check.
- Drug screen clearance.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 40 per week
