Position Summary:
Command Cyber Solutions (a government contractor) is seeking a qualified Computer Systems Analyst in support of our client at Hill AFB, Utah.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, configure, monitor, and ensure adherence to the technical infrastructure and application hosting environment, both on-premises and in the Cloud, and including but not limited to:
o Ingest tools.
o Durable data storage (data lake).
o Analytics tools and other core technologies.
o Support selected open-source tools and requested versions to meet federal government requirements.
- Perform routine dependency analyses.
- Knowledge of Java, Tomcat, Kafka, with the ability to work with Apache software technology
- Possess the ability to reverse engineer system architecture.
- Maintain interface software between multiple computer environments to ensure smooth operation and communication.
- Develop/design new systems and software as needed, including but not limited to:
o Creating system documentation.
o Designing and building a database.
o Developing and testing web applications.
- Consult and advise on how technology and procedures can be improved upon.
- Set up and use various computer systems and software packages.
- Analyze science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to implement and improve computer systems.
- Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations.
- Analyze or recommend commercially available software.
Education, Experience & Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or IT related field or equivalent professional experience.
- Five (5) or more years of relevant experience.
- Active Secret Clearance required.
Certifications (one or more required):
- Certified Systems Analyst Professional (CSAP).
- Certified Business Analysis Profesionnal (CBAP).
- ITILv4.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Systems and Software Engineering.
- Apache HTTP Server, Ranger, Software Foundation, Tomcat
- Application Architecture Evaluation.
- Application Refactoring Techniques.
- Cloud-Native Application Design Patterns.
- Server Virtualization.
Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands
- Basic office work environment at government facility location.
- Hours of operation are M-F between 0600-1800.
- Occasionally, project requirements may require temporary adjustment of work hours/days.
- Duties are subject to change based on the needs of the customer.
