We are seeking an HR Generalist to join our growing team!
Responsibilities: Works with employees as a front-line resource in responding to employee inquiries regarding all aspects of human resources, including benefits, onboarding, offboarding, and performance management. Will partner with and escalate to Corporate HR Team, as necessary.
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- May attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Assist with employee recruiting, onboarding and off-boarding.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, etc.
- Prepare written communications such as letters, memos, e-mails, etc. for the company.
- Review, tabulate and enter data into a variety of systems.
- Handle incoming calls, take messages and promote effective interoffice communication.
- Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- SHRM Certification (preferred)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
