CMM Programmer - Fully Air Conditioned/Heated Shop
Command Technology Inc is seeking a CMM Programmer who qualifies as a computer-savvy precision measurement expert. The individual will have an excellent opportunity to use their technical skills and create superior inspection programs using Calypso software on our Carl Zeiss coordinate-measuring machines at our Maryland facility. In this wide-ranging role, where tasks ensure that no two days are alike, you'll add breadth to your career skills by filling roles as a data gatherer, analyst and reporter. Besides having a variety of work, you'll join our growing QC department. Established in 1986, our company continues to grow with 26 CNC Machining Centers, 4 EDM machines, manual machines, assembly, bonding, dye pen, and paint departments in our 40,000 sq ft facility that services the aerospace industry markets. As a CMM Programmer, your responsibilities will include, being extremely familiar with 1st piece and 1st article checking of parts. The individual will read and interpret blueprints, 3D models, engineering drawings, and diagrams. Proficiency using our manual hand gauges, thread and plug gauges, micrometers, calipers, and depth micrometers. A key challenge you'll face in this role is handling a fast-paced environment with CNC production which means multiple first piece parts for approval. Most importantly, there's a huge emphasis, every single time, on providing accurate information to the manufacturing floor in order to build and keep trust from the manufacturing set up team's perspective. Star performers are adept at keeping their focus and their cool, maintaining accuracy even while juggling multiple tasks as they use custom-written programs to generate inspection data for manufacturing, QC and customers.
