GS-03 Your resume must demonstrate at least six months of general experience. General experience must demonstrate the following: 1) ability to follow directions 2:) To read, understand, and retain instructions, regulations, and procedures. 3) Ability to perform the duties of the position.
GS-04/ GS-03 The position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain the Firefighter I and Firefighter II certification within 12 months of employment.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
Qualifications:
GS-04 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Controlling or extinguishing fires as a member of an organized military, industrial volunteer, governmental fire department brigade; 2) Performing rescue operations; 3) Operating fire communications equipment.GS-03 Your resume must demonstrate at least six months of general experience.
