In this role, you will specifically support the Police Department by managing and maintaining critical systems and technologies used in law enforcement. This includes ensuring the reliability of communications systems, maintaining computer networks, and providing technical assistance for various software applications that enhance public safety operations.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite and current Microsoft Windows operating systems. Experience as a team lead or senior resource required. Training and experience in maintenance, repair and proper use of personal computers and related computer hardware. Training and experience in maintenance, repair, and support of audio visual systems. CJIS certified or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of employment.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.

What You'll Do:
- Provide Tier 1/2/3 technical support to city staff via phone, in-person, email, and IT Service Management.
- Troubleshoot and maintain various technologies, including hardware, software, printers, and audio/visual systems.
- Lead projects and mentor IT Technicians, addressing complex issues.
- Offer specialized support for Mobile Device Computers (MDCs) and city software like Microsoft Office 365.
- Train end-users on technology systems and evaluate new equipment/software.
- Manage user accounts in Active Directory and monitor service tickets for timely completion.
- Document work in the IT Service Management System and lead the service desk in the supervisor's absence.
- Participate in on-call support and City Council Meeting AV support.
- Troubleshoot network wiring issues.
- Experience with Creston AV systems and Tightrope cable broadcast software.
- CJIS certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of employment.
- Familiarity with PMI Project Management Methodologies and ITIL.
- Experience with data cabling.
- Experience providing support for a police department or other law enforcement agency.
