Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Specialist to join our team. The Material Specialist will play a crucial role in managing inventory control, production planning, procurement, fabrication, and systems related to materials within our organization.
Responsibilities
- Oversee inventory control processes to ensure accurate stock levels
- Collaborate with production teams to plan and procure materials needed for manufacturing
- Coordinate the fabrication of materials according to production requirements
- Utilize Lean manufacturing principles to optimize material flow and minimize waste
- Engage in demand planning activities to forecast material needs accurately
- Utilize MRP systems for effective material resource planning
- Manage logistics and transportation of materials to various locations
- Familiarity with Oracle EBS for material management tasks
Qualifications
- Prior experience in material management or related field
- Proficiency in inventory control, production planning, and procurement processes
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and practices
- Experience with demand planning and MRP systems
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain operations
- Familiarity with Oracle EBS is a plus
