Job Description :

We are seeking a skilled and creative Spanish-to-English Tutor to develop a customized language program tailored to the needs of our construction industry employees. This role involves creating an effective, industry-specific curriculum and teaching weekly language classes at our office. The ideal candidate is passionate about language learning, has experience in curriculum design, and understands the unique challenges and terminology within the construction field.

Responsibilities :

Program Development :

Assess the language proficiency levels and specific needs of employees.

Develop a customized Spanish-to-English language program with a focus on construction industry terminology and real-world communication scenarios.
Design engaging lesson plans, activities, and materials tailored to the skill levels and job-related tasks of participants.

Teaching :

Conduct weekly in-person classes at our office, providing instruction that improves employees’ English communication skills.

Focus on practical language usage, including vocabulary, phrases, and cultural nuances relevant to the construction industry.

Monitor progress and adapt lessons as needed to ensure participants achieve measurable improvement.

Support and Guidance :

Provide additional resources and practice exercises to support learning outside of class.

Offer feedback and encouragement to help employees build confidence in their English skills.

Collaboration :

Work closely with management to align program goals with company needs and operational requirements.

Adjust curriculum and teaching strategies based on ongoing feedback from participants and supervisors.

Qualifications :

Fluency in both Spanish and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience teaching English as a second language (ESL), particularly to Spanish-speaking learners.

Background in curriculum development or instructional design preferred.

Familiarity with construction industry terminology and workplace scenarios is a strong advantage.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Friendly, patient, and able to create a supportive learning environment.

Schedule :

Weekly classes at our office (specific day and time to be determined).

Flexible hours for curriculum development and planning.

Compensation :

Open to Flat Project or Hourly Rate
