Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to join our team. The BI Analyst will be responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. This role involves data extraction, analysis, reporting, and visualization, as well as working closely with stakeholders to understand and address their business intelligence needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and expertise in BI tools and data visualization platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

Data Analysis and Reporting :

  • Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets from various sources to generate insights.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Create automated and ad-hoc reports for cross-functional teams, including finance, marketing, operations, and management.

Data Visualization and Dashboard Development :

  • Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations to present data insights effectively.
  • Use data storytelling techniques to simplify complex data for business users and enhance data-driven decision-making.
  • Data Modeling and Database Management :

  • Develop data models and schemas to support reporting and analytics needs.
  • Work with data engineers to optimize data pipelines and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  • Ensure data quality by identifying and addressing any discrepancies or inconsistencies.
  • Business Requirement Gathering :

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, KPIs, and reporting requirements.
  • Translate business needs into technical requirements for BI tools, reports, and dashboards.
  • Performance Tracking and KPI Monitoring :

  • Define, track, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for business functions.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies to support strategic decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement and Best Practices :

  • Stay updated on BI trends, tools, and best practices to recommend improvements.
  • Promote a data-driven culture by advocating for data accuracy, integrity, and accessibility.
  • Requirements :

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Experience : Minimum of 3 years in business intelligence, data analysis, or a similar analytical role.
  • Technical Skills :

  • Data Visualization Tools : Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or QlikView.
  • Data Querying Languages : Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Scripting Languages : Knowledge of Python for data analysis is a must.
  • Data Modeling : Experience with data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
  • Database Management : Familiarity with relational and cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
  • Soft Skills :

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to interpret data within the context of business objectives and strategies.
