Staff Accountant Job Description
Our Company is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team and assist with the accounting and function of HR. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the employment process, including recruitment, onboarding. You will facilitate the management of account payables, receivables, and reconciliations.
The ideal candidate needs to have excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. You should also be experienced with using accounting software, such as QuickBooks and Bill.com. Expertise with HRIS and MS Office, such as Excel and Word, is an essential requirement of the job.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that all employees submit their timesheets promptly and accurately
- Maintain all employee records regarding payroll, such as PTO and vacation requests, bonuses, overtime, taxes, and other modifications to salaries
- Ensure that all new hires are enrolled in benefits after completion of 60 employment
- Process bi-monthly payments using payroll software
- Maintain and update all personnel records regularly
- Attracting, interviewing, and selecting the right candidates to meet our company’s needs
- Draft Offer Letter to selected candidates
- Assist with additional administration tasks given by Accounting Manager
Requirements
- At least 1 years of experience working in Payroll, Accounting, or any similar position
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Management, or any related field
- Working knowledge of applicable accounting standards and practices
- Experience using HRIS, like BambooHR
- Expertise using payroll software, such as QuickBooks and PrimePay
- Outstanding analytical skills and a keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
