What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aircraft Painter position at Commercial Jet, Inc?
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accomplish tasks assigned by the Paint Supervisor.
- Ensure that all paint activities are accomplished and has the knowledge to interpret that the job has been accomplished in accordance with the proper manual/data.
- Accomplish detailing and placing templates, customer supplied logos/data, applies final finish.
- Report any difficulties, uncertainties, unserviceable equipment or potential safety hazards to their supervisor and observe all safety precautions in the performance of assigned tasks at all times.
- Report any tool issues to stores and ensure the correct tag is attached and properly completed.
- Take part in any required training including GMM and safety.
- Keep all work areas clean and orderly.
- Be able to work both alone and in a team environment.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
- Able to perform minor to intermediate structure tasks with little supervision.
- Able to use FAA approved data (i.e. IPC, M/M, OHM, SRM) proficiently.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of three years experience required.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Must have own tools, as provided on CJ list of required tooling.
- Is required to be proficient in oral and written English.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift and/or pull objects weighing at least 50 lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Requires frequent walking, standing and/or climbing.
- Expected to work through specially designed airframe, engine and undercarriage openings while standing on ladders or scaffolds; to use hoists and lifts; required precision instruments and other necessary tools.
- Exposure to climate changes normally experienced in an aviation repair facility.
