Commercial Plastics seeks a full-time Customer Service Representative for our manufacturing facility in Waverly, NE. We are experiencing a tremendous amount of growth in our Waverly, NE Facility. SUMMARY
Facilitates processing and fulfillment of customer’s orders from initial order through delivery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES can include, but are not limited to, the following:
EXTERNAL CUSTOMER:
- Provides excellent customer service through direct contact.
- Assisting with office administrative duties.
- Handles inbound customer service calls in a friendly, professional manner.
- Prepares sales order for orders obtained.
- Keys information into computer to obtain and maintain computerized records.
- Communicates with key clients to maintain positive, advantageous relations via face-to-face contact, fax, phone, e-mail, mailings or other methods.
- Responds promptly to customer inquiries.
- Obtain and evaluate relevant information to resolve customer inquiries and complaints.
- Facilitates resolution of issues between internal and external customers.
INTERNAL CUSTOMER:
- Coordinates with all departments to insure a proper and efficient flow of information from order through delivery of the product.
- Maintains open order status, delivery date plans, and other pertinent order information and communicates the information to all departments involved including sales, production, purchasing and shipping personnel.
- Examines records such as invoices, computer reports, bills of lading, inventory and related documents and correspondence to determine production and shipping requirements.
- Assist with account collections.
- Supports the identified goals and objective of the Sales Department.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Actively participate in company’s Quality Management System.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment following safety procedures and policies.
- Actively communicate with all team members as needed.
- Comply with work requirements related to attendance and notice of absence, general conduct and following work instructions.
- Monitors and communicate material needs to support normal production activity.
- Variety of other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School degree or GED required, Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in sales and/or customer service.
- Competent in Microsoft Office and Internet use and experience with a sales database.
- Experience and knowledge in plastics manufacturing and/or experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Capability to work well with others, communicate effectively (both written and verbal), and maintain organization between cross-related departments.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and competing demands, sets priorities, and ensure all issues are addressed while being sensitive to time constraints and resource availability.
