What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Scheduler position at COMMERCIAL PLASTICS NEBRASKA?
JOB SUMMARY:
A key role in the success and profitability of our organization through managing production schedule and customer expectations. You will be part of the team that drives the company strategy moving forward to the next level. The general responsibilities of the Production Scheduler are to lead molding production. The Production Scheduler will watch over and organize the daily, weekly and monthly production operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES can include the following, but are not limited to:
Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules and resolving problems
Utilizing customer service through direct contact (email, phone call, in-person meetings, etc.)
Coordinate production activities with other departments, for example, tooling, maintenance and engineering
Maintain good communication and monitor all shifts as needed to reach company goals
Maintain open order status, delivery date plans, and other pertinent order information and communicates the information to all departments involved
Monitor manufacturing staff by communicating job expectations, evaluating job results and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures
Monitor and communicate material needs to support normal production activity
- Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
- Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse and management staff to monitor inventory levels
- Confirm and manage lead times on customer orders
Direct and assist staff with maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Any other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree or certificate in manufacturing field or equivalent work experience
Preferably two to four years of experience in operations, manufacturing and injection molding business
Excellent leader and team member
Strong organizational and communication skills
Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP Systems (IQMS experience is a plus)
