What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Coordinator position at Commercial Tool Group?
CTG is seeking an HR Coordinator. The HR Coordinator will report to the HR Director, and is responsible for providing excellent levels of customer service to resolve, support and expedite employee and manager queries both over the phone and email communication and ensure HR administration is well organized, accurate, and efficient.
RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
- Develop strong knowledge in a wide variety of areas and internal processes in order to assist staff efficiently
- Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Oversee the on-boarding and off-boarding processes
- Assist with terminations, FMLA claims, unemployment claims, drug testing, background checking, and employee verification.
- Update HRIS system as needed.
- Respond to employee inquires within 24 hours.
- Process payroll.
- Keep records updated i.e. apprenticeship programs, training, performance evaluations, etc.
- Support basic manager reporting requests.
- Leverage the HRIS/Payroll system and strong payroll tax knowledge to ensure timely and accurate payroll for employees
- Leverage the Benefit broker and portal to ensure timely benefits enrollment and updates for employees

Experience:
- 3-5 years of work experience as a Human Resources assistant, coordinator or generalist.
- Experience processing payroll and managing the administration of benefits, ideally within ADP system preferred.
Performance Goals:
- Lessen HR Director administrative work
- Resolve 80% of incoming employee calls and emails.
- Ensure accurate and efficient administration of payroll and benefits programs
- Provide excellent internal support by responding to all inquiries within 24 hours, even if timeline needs to be adjusted
