What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Team Member position at Commerical Filter Service?
Commercial Filter Service, Inc. provides our customers with a reoccurring scheduled HVAC filter change-out service. When filters get dirty they restrict airflow, which causes equipment to work harder and use more energy. This puts unnecessary strain on valuable HVAC equipment, and causes utility costs to increase. Our company provides valuable maintenance savings to our customers by ensuring that the air filters in their equipment are changed regularly. Our client base consists of large grocery and retail chains, restaurants, office buildings, and industrial factories.
The primary role of the Production Team Member is to efficiently prepare and package filtration products to fulfill customer orders and ensure our Filter Service Technicians have the necessary materials for each job site to perform their services.
Work Tasks & Essential Functions:
- Cut, package, and label filters according to specifications for each invoice and account.
- Receive and prepare shipments
- Unload supply trucks.
- Check-in inventory and ensure all shipping documents are reconciled against product orders for accuracy.
- Accurate completion of associated paperwork.
- Use company vehicles to make occasional product deliveries.
- Keep production areas clean and organized, empty trash, and sweep up daily.
- Adhere to production & warehouse safety standards, procedures, and protocols.
- Be aware of efficiency and reducing raw material waste. Be mindful of practices that waste time, utilities, and supplies.
- Treat coworkers in a friendly and courteous manner
- Attend company meetings and functions.
- Attention to detail
- Others tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School graduate or GED equivalent
- Ability to read and speak English,
- Basic math skills including, but not limited to fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication.
- Competent computer skills
- Ability to take measurements accurately
- Good communication skills and positive attitude.
- Great organization skills
- Ability to take direction, work as a team, problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
- Certificate of a negative drug screen from CFS approved medical clinic
Minimum Physical Qualifications:
- Must be able to use hands and arms repetitively above shoulders in an up and down motion.
- Stand at work station for long periods of time.
- Pull, push, and carry up to 50lbs
- Bend, stoop, lift, walk, climb, stand, reach overhead, and twist freely in performance of daily job.
Work Hours & Schedule:
- Full time, 40 hours weekly
- 7am – 3:30pm
- Occasional overtime required during peak demand
Work Environment:
- Indoors: occasional exposure to heat, humidity, and noise
- Heated warehouse in winter. Non-Air Conditioned in summer.
- Clean work station & warehouse, but may get marginally dusty/dirty at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
