Our Administrative Team is seeking a Controller that will:
- Oversee the day-to-day work of the accounting staff.
- Complete monthly account and bank reconciliations
- Review or complete monthly closing entries in the financial management system.
- Ensure integrity of financial results and reporting related to government contracts and grants.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivable balances.
- Coordinate and produce monthly reporting for Federally and state funded grant programs and assist with preparation of budget modifications.
- Assist with the preparation and conduct of the annual independent audit of the Agency’s financial statements, as well as the annual Form 990/CHAR500 tax filings.
- Assist with the agency pension plan.
- Assist with Budget development and monthly financial reporting
- Primarily responsible for the annual financial statement audit
- Comply with all finance office and agency policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required
- 5 years of experience of progressive fiscal responsibilities specific to the non-profit industry
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (proficient in Excel)
- Experience with accounting software packages (FundEZ is the software used by the Agency)
- Experience with cost accounting and fund accounting
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S without the need for Visa Sponsorship
