Commodity Forwarders is looking for a Seasonal Full Time Customer Service Agent to fill a position within our operations department. This is a non-exempt position with an hourly starting at $20/hr. This is an excellent opportunity to join our Anchorage Branch.
Location: Anchorage, AK
Schedule: Schedule to be discussed during the interview
Your Role:
- Answering multiple phone lines
- Physically checking customers in
- Booking domestic and export airfreight shipments
- Data entry
- Ensure timely movement of cargo from origin to destination
- Ability to communicate effectively to customers and management on phone calls, emails, and in person
- Basic computer skills including e-mail, web browsing, outlook, excel and word.
- Dependability
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 6 month - 1 year Customer Service Experience (Freight Forwarding Experience is a Plus)
- Basic Computer Skills ( e-mail, web browsing, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently handling various responsibilities with competing priorities.
- Excellent customer service abilities
- Logistics or Transportation experience is preferred
- Able to quickly get between dock office and operations many times per hour
