Barista/Cashier

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality coffee and food items. Your role will involve not only crafting delicious beverages but also ensuring that all food safety standards are met and that customers receive exceptional service.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment and utensils.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines during food preparation and handling.
• Operate the Aloha POS system for processing customer orders and managing cash handling efficiently.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders accurately, and responding to inquiries or concerns.
• Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
• Demonstrate time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Skills

• Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
• Previous experience in the food industry is advantageous, particularly in coffee preparation or barista roles.
• Strong understanding of food handling techniques to ensure quality and safety.
• Passion for coffee with the ability to create various beverage styles.
• Proficient cash handling skills to manage transactions responsibly.
• Excellent time management abilities to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy setting.
• Experience in food preparation techniques is beneficial.
• A helpful attitude towards customers and team members alike is crucial for success in this role.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.71 per hour
