Responsibilities
The Nursing Manager in the Family Birth Center is responsible for managing the resources and daily activities of the department while ensuring environmental factors support high standards of patient care. Other responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the training and development of new and existing staff members
- Creating and maintaining an environment that is conducive to learning transfer
- Coordinating the activities of the unit for each shift and directing, organizing, and assigning work to the nursing staff
- Will provide patient care as needed.

Qualifications
Minimum:
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in an acute care Family Birth Center.
- At least one year of leadership experience.
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and/or additional job related experience in lieu of the degree.
- California RN license
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NRP certification
