Responsibilities
- Has the authority to interview, hire, orient, terminate, promote, train and conduct performance evaluations.
- Assigns day-to-day work activities; directs the functional and technical job performance of team members.
- Allocates and directs staffing needs to meet patient, unit, and department needs, and collaborate with others to ensure overall staffing needs are met.
- Manages performance including: setting goals, clarifying job expectations, monitoring performance progress, providing feedback, recognize, developing skills and addressing performance issues related to work and our Commitments using corrective action.
- Responsible for financial reporting and planning for the CHI Health system with emphasis on Food and Nutrition. Budget estimates 30M annually. Oversees the Food and Nutrition system financial review of subsidiary financial statement with regards to financial growth. Views the monthly summary report which includes both a quantitative and qualitative summary of department and system performance.
- Directs the system wide Food and Nutrition and contract development and purchasing departments. This includes management of compliance with the Managed Order Guide and maximizing rebates for the Network.
- Oversees the transportation operation and personnel for the Food and Nutrition system.
- Responsible for the accounting staff. Reporting on all timekeeping’s, Invoices, Catertrax, and Comptrition and Micro Cash systems for the system. Oversee and directs the department Cash/Credit Card handling and ensures meeting 100% PCI compliance.
- Responsible for the coordination and preparation of the routine Analytical Review of the operations activates which is based on sound financial analysis; include the budgeting and actual compassions as well as benchmarking for each hospital in the Food Service System.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 3 years leadership experience
OR
Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in the discipline
OR
Master’s Degree and no experience
Serv Safe Certificate within one year.
A minimum of eight years of financial analysis experience.
Strong knowledge of Financial Management and Food and Nutrition analysis experience, strong knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and professional standards; strong project management skills; good communication skills; good strategic planning skills; strong change management skills; good computer understanding and skills: demonstrates personal traits of a high level of motivation; team orientation; professionalism; trust; and places a high value on treating others with dignity and respect.
Preferred:
A minimum of three years of significant experience in the Food Service healthcare care environment overseeing food contracts and purchasing.
