Commonstreet is growing rapidly, and we are in immediate need of a Business Development Proposal Writer and Coordinator to support our sales and business strategy in the Pacific Northwest Region.
Primary Responsibilities:- Coordinate and develop responses to RFPs, SOQs, RFIs, and RFQs
- Lead proposal writing and editing, ensuring compliance with requirements and deadlines
- Create PowerPoint presentations and materials for client selection interviews
- Maintain and update company proposal information, project descriptions, and personnel experience
- Manage proposal production using InDesign and other software tools
- Handle vendor registrations and maintain access credentials for client systems
- Participate in industry events and conferences for business development
- Ensure brand consistency across all proposal materials
- Coordinate interview rehearsals and preparation with subject matter experts
- Maintain internal and external communications related to business development and marketing (Resumes, Project Descriptions, Case Studies, White Papers, Testimonials, etc.)
- Maintain company databases (BQE CORE) of network of leads and contacts with A&E firms, contractors, firms, cities, local, regional, state, and Federal agencies, cities, and industry forums (e.g. finding project leads, identifying market trends, exploring teaming opportunities, and having general and detailed knowledge of the right of way market)
- Regularly report progress via sales meetings and activity summaries.
- Keep current on competitive moves by other service providers and competitors.
- Meet all KPIs as determined by supervisor.
- Maintain company culture and effective work relations with those encountered in the course of employment.
- Observe and follow all company safety rules and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Authorized to work in the United States, without restrictions.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and PDF tools
- Basic math skills for calculations and spreadsheet formulas
- Highly organized and detailed oriented
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to comprehend technical instructions and documentation
- Willingness to travel locally and regionally
- Available during standard 8 am – 5 pm Pacific Time weekday business hours.
- Able to work occasional weekends and overtime when required.
- Possess current driver’s license with acceptable motor vehicle record.
- Able to treat information in a confidential manner.
- Able to represent Commonstreet in a professional, business-like manner.
- Physical ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in related field
- 2-5 years of experience in proposal preparation and professional services maketing
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Lucid, and/or Canva
- Society of Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) certificate encouraged
- Working knowledge of right of way consulting, engineering, or appraisal.
- Experience in Right of Way, A/E/C, Survey, or Environmental industries
- Knowledgeable of at least one of the main disciplines: water resources, transportation infrastructure, ports and harbors, aviation, or power is preferred.

Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
