This role can be in-office, hybrid or remote. We have offices in Atlanta GA, Charlotte NC, Columbus OH, Houston TX, Jackson MI, Orlando FL, Spokane WA and Tulsa OK
We are looking for a senior Substation Civil / Structural Engineer with expertise in electrical substations design and civil / structural engineering. This role involves managing project designs, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring compliance with industry standards while collaborating with clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities :
Technical Design and Analysis
- The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of civil design for substations, including structural analysis, steel design and detailing, foundation design, bus stress analysis, oil containment design, substation equipment review, support of substation physical design and equipment layout, interface with site development design team, and some permitting involvement.
- General understanding of substation layouts, configurations and major equipment
- Assist with development and reviews of equipment specifications and to ensure compliance with industry standards.
