Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute preschool curriculum consistent with State licensing requirements.
- Provide support to the lead teacher in supervising students at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist in maintaining records of students’ progress and development, including attendance records, daily reports, and progress reports.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to create a positive and engaging learning environment for all children.
Position Requirements:
- Education and Experience:
- Minimum of a two-year degree.
- Experience in early childhood education.
- Availability:
- Flexible schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 am - 6 pm.
- Personal and Professional Skills:
- Skilled in developing age-appropriate lesson plans and implementing curriculum.
- Open to constructive feedback and new ideas.
- Effective organization and time management.
- Strong communicator and active listener.
- Team player with a mission-first attitude, willing to assist with various tasks.
- Growth mindset with an openness to working with diverse personalities and teaching styles.
- Physical and Mental Capabilities:
- Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Mentally prepared to manage daily stresses and conflicts in a school setting.
- Effective conflict resolution skills.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care.
- Willing to assist with family engagement events.
- Provide care for toddlers, including diaper changes and potty training support.
- Help children develop self-regulation and social-emotional skills.
- Proportion and serve meals when needed.
- Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Maintain a family care plan.
