Institutional Banking and Markets (IB&M) is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with major corporate and government clients and institutional investors, and provides a full range of capital raising, transactional and risk management products and services. We play a key role in reimagining banking and leading in Australia’s transition.
The Corporate Client Coverage (CCC) team within CBA’s Institutional Banking & Markets (IB&M) business, leads banking relationship management to corporate clients across a range of sectors. This includes clients in the retail, industrial, transport, consumer, media & technology, health, real estate and infrastructure sectors. The team is geographically diverse with offices across Australia and internationally and consistently achieves excellent results in internal workplace satisfaction surveys.

The Business Management function within the CCC team ensures adherence to policy, governance, and compliance frameworks. It also provides portfolio management and operational support to CCC bankers, in collaboration with other internal stakeholders.
Your Impact and Contribution
As an Associate - Business Management, you’ll be supporting a high performing team, including those in our offshore offices. Working closely with the Business Manager and focussing on the portfolio management activities for Corporate Coverage Clients, you will support the delivery of streamlined and simplified processes.
This is an exciting and highly visible role enabling the right candidate to develop relationships with stakeholders at various seniority levels across teams and geographies.
Your responsibilities will be wide-ranging and include:
Contributing to driving the CCC strategy forward
Supporting the execution of good data practices with Bankers to ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout the portfolio lifecycle
Performing portfolio hygiene activities such as breach management, annual reviews, supporting Know-Your- Customer processes, and other reporting and liaise with Bankers and stakeholders where required
Working to simplify processes, drive process efficiency, manage risk and improve data accuracy
Actively contributing to the team to ensure a positive team culture and support a safe and diverse workplace for all team members, clients and other partners

This is a hands-on role and requires a highly motivated detail-oriented self-starter and adaptable team player with a passion for solving complex problems and driving meaningful change. Some of the key traits that such a person would have are:
Excellent interpersonal skills, collaboration and negotiation skills and ability to build strong rapport with work colleagues and a problem-solving mindset
Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills to spot inefficiencies or errors in processes and a desire to drive change and deliver improvement across the business
Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and juggle multiple workstreams demonstrating strong project management
Strong presentation and communication skills (oral and written) to drive change
Open-mindedness: They should be willing to challenge assumptions and be open to new ideas and perspectives.
Knowledge of CBA or other bank systems will be highly regarded but not essential, as will experience in Business, Corporate or Institutional banking.
