We are the Trade Finance Engineering team, part of the Trade Finance, Working Capital & Physical Commodities (TWP) crew in IB&M Technology. Our team collaborates closely with multiple squads within the crew to deliver a world-class experience to our customers. The Crew supports the domestic and international trade and supply chain finance transactional flows for our corporate and institutional clients. TWP provides specialist trade products and services to Business & Private Banking and Institutional Banking & Markets customers. Our purpose is to provide stable, scalable, and resilient platforms, helping teams and their business stakeholders realize maximum value. To achieve this, we continuously improve all facets of the platform, including cloud deployment, setup, structure, and operations by following DevSecOps model.

As part of Senior Platform Engineer of this squad, you will:

• Have hands-on experience in Platform Engineering or a similar role within a DevSecOps environment

• Strong experience with scripting/programming in programming languages such as PowerShell, Java, Java Script, Bash, Python, YAML etc.

• Experience working with Infrastructure as Code CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK, AWS CodeBuild/CodePipeline highly regarded.

• Experience working with CI/CD & automation tools like GitHub, GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Jenkins, CI/CD Pipeline.

• Are constantly demonstrating strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to debugging and problem-solving.

• Experience with Logging and Monitoring tools like Observe/Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana and PagerDuty

• Systematic problem-solving approach and proactively continue improving current processes and tools.

• Be able to communicate ideas clearly and effectively.

• Have a focus on automation and building efficient systems.

• Ability to learn and work with various technologies

• Provide application support and maintenance.

Tech skills

• Design and implement secure CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions/TeamCity.

• Develop and maintain automated infrastructure with a focus on scripting and programming.

• Build, deploy, and manage containerised applications using Docker and EKS/Kubernetes.

• Optimise AWS cloud infrastructure for performance and scalability.

• Automate workflows to improve system efficiency and resilience.

• Integration, knowledge of MQs, REST APIs and Kafka.

• Good knowledge of RDBMS – Oracle or Postgres.

• Software configuration, packaging and deployment/upgrades in different environments.

• Ability to interface with wider team of platform and data engineers, Product Owners, Chapter Leads and have good experience in DevOps.

• Work in Agile Scrum team with Product owner, to deliver platform engineering tasks and activities in sprints towards application support and maintenance.
