We’re interested in hearing from people who:
Have hands-on experience in Platform Engineering or a similar role within a DevOps environment
Demonstrated advanced proficiency in scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) and experience of at least one programming language (Java).
Hands-on experience of Cloud native technologies with AWS, Docker, and EKS/Kubernetes.
Are constantly demonstrating strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to debugging and problem-solving.
Are comfortable in designing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions/Teamcity.
Pride themselves on their strong background in deploying and managing monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk) to ensure system reliability and performance.
Have a focus on automation and building efficient systems.
Have ability to understand/develop configuration (helm/yaml) and deployment of containerised software application in different envs.
Provide application support and maintenance.
Tech skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but our Senior Platform Engineer should have diversified strengths and broad range of skillsets.
Design and implement secure CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions/Teamcity.
Develop and maintain automated infrastructure with a focus on scripting and programming.
Build, deploy, and manage containerised applications using Docker and EKS/Kubernetes.
Optimise AWS cloud infrastructure for performance and scalability.
Automate workflows to improve system efficiency and resilience.
Integration, knowledge of MQs, REST APIs and Kafka.
Good knowledge of RDBMS – Oracle or PostGres.
Software configuration, packaging and deployment/upgrades in different envs.
Understanding of ETL data pipelines using AbInitio will be desirable.
Ability to interface with wider team of platform and data engineers, Product Owners, Chapter Leads and have good experience in DevOps.
Work in Agile Scrum team with Product owner, to deliver platform engineering tasks and activities in sprints towards application support and maintenance.
