What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP Credit Officer position at Commonwealth Business Bank?
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Credit Officer is responsible for the bank’s overall credit quality of the loan portfolio.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists Credit Administration Officer, SCA, and CCO with all loan administration functions
- Assists in reviewing all loan approval requests by completing credit files or a set of supporting documents as required by Credit Administration to ensure completeness and accuracy of related approval requests.
- Assists in monitoring and performing post-funding follow-up
- Assists in developing, monitoring and enforcing monitoring programs for all loans to ensure compliance with the loan policy and procedures
- Assists in preparing, coordinating and follow-up of the regulatory examinations and loan review audits
- Acts as a liaison among lending units and loan approval authorities in collecting, distributing and storing approval requests and forwarding approved memos to appropriate units for loan document production and proper filing
- Act as a liaison between loan approval authorities and lending units in carrying out the loan policies of the Bank
- Prepares and distributes updates on loan guidelines and other related loan reports on a regular basis or as instructed by SCA and CCO
- Prepares various management related reports as assigned
- Assists in various Loan Administration and/or other duties and projects as assigned by management
- Complies fully with all Bank policies and procedures as well as all regulatory requirements (e.g. Bank Secrecy Act, Anti Money Laundering, Code of Conduct, and etc.).
- Must complete all required training
SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to multi-task and high attention to detail
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree preferred

Annual pay ranges are determined based on qualifications, level, and location. Exact compensation may vary based on your skills and experience.
