SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the clinical supervision and training of assigned social workers and clinical staff working with children placed in shelter.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Directly supervises, trains, and evaluates social workers and clinicians assigned to the shelter

Responsible for the development and implementation of service standards, goals and objectives as required by licensing and Department of Health and Human Services

Participates in evaluating and developing program policy.

Provides crisis intervention and back up for all cases in worker’s absence.

Provides on-call coverage as assigned.

Responsible for assuring that all records are in compliance with licensing standards, accreditation standards, federal regulations, and agency policy and that all case documentation is prepared and presented for inclusion in records on a timely basis.

Supervises and provide input for each treatment plan for every team case.

Investigates and follow up on all CPS complaints as assigned by Program Manager.

Coordinates, presents, and participates in staff in-service training and meetings for social work staff.

Provides office coverage in Program Managers absence.

May provide limited casework service (as applicable).

Promotes staff professional growth through established training requirements.

Represents the Agency in the community and workplace in a professional and ethical manner.

Demonstrates sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.

Demonstrates strong interpersonal, decision-making, problem-solving, oral, and written skills.

Utilizes a basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A master's degree in social work, psychology or counseling and a combination of two years professional experience with children, in a children's residential facility and in administration or supervision; or a baccalaureate degree in social work, psychology or counseling and a combination of three years professional experience with children, in a children's residential facility and in administration or supervision; or a baccalaureate degree and a combination of four years of professional experience with children, in a children's residential facility and in administration or supervision. bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
