We are currently accepting applications for a full-time Loan Administration Specialist at our San Jose Corporate Office.
As a Loan Administration Specialist, your major responsibilities will include:
- Performing quality control review of loan files, loan documentation and electronic lending records to ensure loan servicing activities are conducted in accordance with the Credit Union’s underwriting standards and lending guidelines
- Compiling and preparing Quality Control Review reports detailing the required account information, exceptions, and rating.
- Working with branch management to correct any deficiency/violation identified in the loan quality control review.
- Interacting frequently with external business partners such as title companies, appraisers, escrow vendors, county recorder offices, and other service providers.
- Performing escrow analysis and disbursements pursuant to established policies and procedures; processing reconveyances and payoff demands; reviewing and recommending subordination request for approval.
- Monitoring delinquent property taxes and working with members to remediate any delinquent tax related issues.
- Providing support with portfolio risk assessment and risk mitigation function such as Home Equity Line of Credit collateral valuation and credit limit review.
Our ideal candidate will possess: at least two years of similar or related experience in consumer/mortgage lending or loan servicing required. Prior auditing or quality control experience in a financial institution a plus. Knowledge of federal and state regulatory requirements relating to consumer and real estate lending preferred. Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and working knowledge of MS Excel and Word required. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information related to employee performance or member credit quality also required.
