As a Loan Funding Specialist, your major responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing all approved consumer loan applications and documentation received through all channels (branch, indirect, remote, etc.). Ensuring completeness and accuracy of all loan applications and documentation prior to loan closing.
- Coordinating all funding activities to ensure approved loans are processed timely and efficiently.
- Preparing loan packets for funding and signing
- Verifying final loan details in system (L360), preparing and proofing all closing documents for member’s signature.
- Auditing indirect loan packets to ensure the loan terms reconcile with the actual loan approval. Working with dealers and underwriters to resolve any term discrepancies.
- Ensuring loan documents are complete and properly signed by all appropriate parties. Identifying missing loan documents and working with dealers and/or members to obtain the required documents.
- Building and maintaining relationships with dealers to promote and support the indirect lending program. Identifying problems that might prevent dealers from submitting loan applications. Providing feedback to Credit Union management. Proactively initiating steps to address indirect lending problems that can be avoided.
- Following up on countered and approved applications to secure loan packets. Serving as the liaison between dealers and underwriters to address any questions or issues.
- Performing verifications on application data to ensure authenticity and accuracy. Completing loan funding pursuant to established procedures and service level agreements.
Our ideal candidate will possess: at least two years of similar or related experience in consumer loan processing, mortgage loan processing using third party providers and partners. Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge of consumer lending required. Proven attention to detail, ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment and working knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel and Word required. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and conduct oneself with a high level of diplomacy and tact.
$29.65 - $37.00/hour; based on skills and experience.
