Commonwealth Corporation has a strong history of designing, implementing, and managing a range of programming and initiatives that address the needs of youth and young adults who are among our more vulnerable populations. Using evidence-based practices and regional sector partnerships to address social and workforce issues, CommCorp manages grant funds, designs and supports implementation of programming for the state’s large-scale subsidized career development and youth employment initiative, YouthWorks, serving approximately 5000 young people each year. CommCorp has created a well-recognized, evidence-based career exploration and work readiness curriculum and initiative called Signal Success that is being implemented in YouthWorks, federally funded WIOA programs, school districts, the state’s Safe and Successful Youth Initiative and industry-based programs. Beyond these implementations, CommCorp is engaged in ongoing work to support other career development efforts and Signal Success expansion in other communities and states across the US.
Position Overview

Work hours: $75,000 - $80,000 plus Employer contributes 13.2% of gross salary to a 401(a)-employee retirement plan. (Vested 100% on day 1 of hire)
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Director of YouthWorks, the Senior Regional Support Manager will assist with providing oversight to the Regional Support team by supporting the successful implementation of the YouthWorks program including providing program-related technical assistance and evaluation support of the YouthWorks program through the collection of feedback from the field by surveys, database information and input from the Regional Support Managers. The Senior Regional Support Manager will work closely with the Director of YouthWorks to help with driving experience. Additionally, with a dotted line to the Associate Director of Training and Curriculum, the Senior Regional Support Manager will work with the Regional Support team to gather data from the field in the form of field interviews, surveys, and evaluations to create training that supports program development.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
Regional Management and Support
- In collaboration with the Regional Support Managers will lead the development of technical support (regional support) for the YouthWorks grantees and/or partners; as well as act as primary contact for planning Regional Support Convenings and/or other meetings.
- Provide guidance to grantees about program design improvements and general grantee policies and practices; identify and coordinate the deployment of resources to meet regional needs; also providing guidance and support to grantees to ensure they meet financial requirements. Document all outreach and communication to grantees; support planning and facilitation of professional development and regional support in a variety of forms including group meetings, webinars and written informational content.
- Conduct site visits with YouthWorks and additional program partners to document program practices and identify areas that require additional assistance.
Grant Management and Support
- Support the grant making and Request for Proposals process; Assist with the proposal review and contracting process
- Assist with review of regional invoice cadence and financial status and act as liaison between internal Operations and Regions
The Senior Regional Support Manager in collaboration with the Director will provide oversight, and work with the Regional Support Team in the following areas:
Community Engagement:
- Plan and facilitate program awareness sessions; work with Commonwealth Corporation marketing team to develop program marketing materials and collateral
- Maintain programs content management portal; assist with coordinating field wide communication to the using tools like mail chimp, Constant Contact and/or email.
- Attend community events that provide opportunities for program promotion; foster relationships and develop champions of the YouthWorks program with alumni, program staff and community-based organizations.
- Additional projects as needed: these may include leading workshops and classes for youth, documenting models of effective practice in youth employment and training; developing profiles of local programs and youth participants; managing promotional aspects such as developing marketing collateral and tracking new partner leads.
Technical Support:
- Act as a back-up to monitor technical support email to troubleshoot issues related to YW CC YouthWorks Hub and other program-based applications
- Provide technical assistance for the CC YouthWorks Hub
Minimum Qualifications
- Working knowledge of workforce development programming as it relates to program implementation, policy development and labor market trends
- Familiarity with MassHire Career Centers and the functioning of a workforce board
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Ability to motivate others on a team and help them succeed
- Ability to multitask and tend to multiple problems at a time
- Strong problem-solving skills, especially in situations of high stress
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage large amounts of information
- Ability to generate a variety of reports and presentations displaying regional performance
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in managing grants, including budgets and invoicing
- Familiarity with Salesforce and learning management systems is a plus
