Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounts payable team and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all accounts payable transactions. This role involves managing AP specialists, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The AP Manager will also play a key role in process improvement initiatives and financial reporting.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Supervise and mentor a team of Accounts Payable Specialists
- Oversee the entry and processing of AP invoices for all locations
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of coding corrections, recurring invoices and vendor payments
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors
- Ensure vendor records are up to date, including compliance documents
- Address and resolve vendor payment inquiries and issues promptly
- Oversee the processing of annual 1099s and follow up on outstanding AP checks
- Assist with month end and year end closing processes, including reconciling the AP sub-ledger to the general ledger
- Provide excellent customer service to research and resolve issues as needed
- Establish and maintain professional line of communication with relevant staff
- Assist in administrative functions such as filing, inbound/outbound phone calls, etc.

Required Qualifications:
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent record keeping and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
- Minimum of 5 years experience in accounts payable required, experience in a supervisory role preferred
- Construction administrative experience beneficial
