Position Summary: The VDC Manager provides leadership and is a technical resource for VDC team. The VDC Manager implements the latest technology to assist in the construction process. This position is responsible for providing budgets and estimates to project construction teams in all Commonwealth Holdings’ locations. It is essential for the VDC Manager to have a thorough understanding of construction project flow to integrate VDC work with the construction schedule.
Primary Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Point of contact for VDC and BIM for all Commonwealth offices
- Manage a team of VDC professionals
- Audit and review models in Revit, Autodesk Build, Navisworks, and Revizto
- Audit and review installation drawings
- Develop and adhere to QAQC Procedures for all project documents provided
- Hold weekly coordination meetings with project team members
- Monitor and control project activity to meet budgets and schedules
- Provide leadership in developing and tracking KPIs
- Early design review and constructability analysis
- Manage / Update VDC Project Documents
- Develop VDC proposals and cost estimates for projects
- Advise management on industry trends and technical developments

- All other duties as assigned and required
Required Qualifications:
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and hardworking
- Knowledge of electrical construction processes and procedures
- Must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate with customers, construction team, and design teams both internal and external
- Ability to create processes and procedures to enhance productivity of team
- Knowledge in Revit, AutoCAD, Autodesk Build, Navisworks, Revizto, and Bluebeam
- Advanced PC skills, specifically Microsoft Windows Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint)
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Experience should demonstrate progressive responsibilities including team management
- Minimum of 10 years of VDC work with progressive responsibilities including team management
