Description
The Waldinger Corporation is looking for a passionate VDC Manager to help oversee our Virtual Design and Construction process for our Omaha location. This role with help manage VDC personnel and propagate best practices and drive efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages VDC Specialists, VDC Coordinators, and Detailers including project assignments and performance monitoring.
- Monitors project costs and makes sure parties are notified of any budget issues. Helps create budgets for large projects and create labor feedback code for jobs.
- Attends VDC kick-off meetings for all projects. Asks questions to makes sure that project team is utilizing best practices in modeling, prefabrication, and VDC processes. Follows up with project managers to make sure that weekly VDC meetings are happening with appropriate action items.
- Reviews contract documents and makes recommendations for changes prior to modeling based on constructability, fabrication, and cost. Collaborates with shop and field foreman to select pre- fabrication opportunities.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience with Virtual Design and Construction
- Strong Revit and Navisworks skills
- Maintaining basic knowledge of other CAD Software
- Excellent interpersonal skills: Strong coaching, training and motivational skills.
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
