The Kentucky Office of Homeland Security is Kentucky’s strategic center of gravity for the accumulation and dissemination of critical information through collaborative efforts with local, state, federal, and private sector partnerships, which provides relevant and timely intelligence, executive advisement, and resource allocations for the preparation, prevention, response and recovery of all hazards or incidents that affect the safety, security, and the health of the Commonwealth.
The Executive Assistant covers a variety of responsibilities supporting the Kentucky 911 Services Board. This position will perform a variety of administrative, compliance, and finance functions. The 911 Services Board has seen rapid recent growth and is now responsible for more than $40 million per year in wireless 911 fees, which provide a major source of funding for Kentucky's more than 100 certified public safety answering points (PSAPs). The Executive Assistant will keep up to date with innovations to Next Generation 911 and how it relates to cyber threat trends.

The Executive Assistant Will
- Providing staff support to more than 100 Board-Certified PSAPs (911 call centers).
- Assist with audit compliance of 911 Services Board, PSAPs, and wireless telecommunications providers.
- Support implementation of statewide Next Generation 911 (NG911) projects through collaboration and coordination with contracted NG911 vendors.
- Analyzing and ensuring compliance of wireless provider payments and zip code submissions.
- Processing wireless telecommunication provider deposits.
- Preparing quarterly PSAP call volume/pro-rated share payments.
- Processing invoices and payment for Board expenses.
- Maintaining files for all Board-Certified PSAPs.
- Review expenditure reports, documents, and update weekly/monthly/quarterly/yearly to keep finance manager and 911 Board Administrator informed.
- Be familiar with 911 Services Board KRSs and KARs.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytic research capabilities
- Attention to detail

- Ability to prioritize workflow
