Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Professional experience in Kentucky State Government accounting will substitute for the education on a year- for-year basis.

Description
The Kentucky Department of Parks is seeking a Graduate Accountant I to work in the Financial Operations Division. This position will perform multiple functions to prepare and process financial reports and accounting documents.
Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To, The Following
- Process daily, monthly, or as needed EFT and other Parks Central Office deposits to KY State Treasury.
- Prepares sales, alcohol and room tax reports and distributes payments monthly to KY Dept of Revenue and local governments statewide.
- Accounts for Parks statewide gift card program to include gift cards sold, redeemed, and deactivations.
- Administers revenue reporting and processes accounting documents for Parks campground activity from online advanced reservations and reconciles bank account monthly.
- Audits daily business reports from daily revenue and receipts reporting for select Parks statewide.
- Assists in maintaining ACH Pay (ePAY) account records and local bank account documentation when updates needed.
- Assists in approving eMARS documents monthly and during the Receipts Section accounting hard close period to ensure budgetary compliance in revenue reporting.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Computer literacy in Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- 37.50 hour work week (with occasional overtime required)
