Thomson-Hood Veterans Center is a skilled nursing Facility that cares for the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Veterans. Our mission is to serve Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity, and providing compassionate care. We are looking for a self-motivated, energetic Laundry Worker who possesses the desire to care for Kentucky’s Veterans.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To The Following

• Performs laundry duties in an institutional laundry facility; and performs other duties as required.
• Maintains adequate levels of clean linen and clothing. Places linen and clothing on linen room shelves to ensure freshness.
• Operates commercial laundry equipment to include Washers, dryers, irons, and steam presses.
• Ensures the laundry services area is kept clean, safe, and sanitary, by sanitizing all work areas. Cleans the lint trap outside and vacuums under dryers on all shifts.
  
  

This job requires mandatory COVID 19 vaccination or an approved exemption in accordance with CMS-3415-IFC from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. This means if appointed to the position, the applicant must have completed the primary vaccination series for COVID-19, which means the administration of a single-dose vaccine or the administration of all required doses of a multi-dose vaccine upon commencement of employment. The vaccine received must be one of the FDA-approved or FDA-authorized vaccines. Proof of vaccination will be required. If a medical or religious exemption is sought, the candidate must submit paperwork to the employer prior to appointment for review and approval.
