By joining the Training and Development Branch as a Safety Administrator in Franklin county, you will have the opportunity to promote the cabinet safety culture by administering the Energy & Environment Cabinet's Safety and Health Program.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Four years of experience in area of safety operations or inspection, incident management, or emergency services.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Additional administrative, safety operations and/or inspection, incident management, or emergency services experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Working Conditions
Incumbent must be able to make oral presentations. Travel may be required.

Holders of the Safety Administrator position will complete tasks such as:
- Administers the development and implementation of effective safety programs in accordance with state and federal requirements for the Energy and Environment Cabinet.
- Performs job site and workplace inspections and prepare inspection report and reccoment corrective actions for findings. Conduct follow up site inspection.
- Reviews accident reports and conducts safety investigations for compliance with agency policies and procedures; recommends corrective actions.
- Instructs CPR and First Aid Training as well as other safety training in a classroom setting.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- CPR/First Aid Instructor Certification.
- OSHA 10 General industry outreach trainer certification.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize job duties.
- Attention to detail.
- Reliable team player.
