THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Corrections Stock Clerk, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, distributing, and controlling inventory of various stock items and supplies for your assigned institution. You will also participate in the operations of the SCI Huntingdon warehouse, garment shop, and print shop, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all tasks. You will confidently train and supervise inmate workers responsible for receiving, issuing, and storing essential materials, supplies, tools, and equipment. You will also prepare routine reports and expertly operate motor vehicles, forklifts, or hand trucks to move oversized or heavy items, explicit scrap materials, or deliver supplies, demonstrating your ability to handle the demands of this critical position.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hour work week.
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
- One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement:
- You must have possession of an active motor vehicle license.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
