The Pennsylvania Treasury Department is an independent agency led by the elected State Treasurer and one of the largest state treasuries in the country, serving as custodian of more than $150 billion. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an IT Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in directing the planning, development, and implementation of IT projects within the Treasury Department. You will build and maintain relationships with key customer representatives and stakeholders, ensuring that project requirements are captured, and expectations are established. Working closely with senior IT management, you will prioritize projects and determine staffing needs. Your responsibilities will include developing detailed project plans, managing project progress, and ensuring adherence to project scope. You will also be responsible for quality control activities, risk mitigation, and effective communication with project teams. Additionally, you will oversee multiple work efforts across various teams, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 2 days per week, upon successful completion of the training period. Management may discontinue the telework arrangement at any time, for any reason. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
- Two years of experience as a Business Analyst 3; or
- Two years of experience in leading IT systems development or implementation projects and a bachelor's degree; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes two years of experience in leading IT systems development or implementation projects.
Additional Requirements:

You must possess one or more of the following certifications:
- Project Management Institute: Project Management Professional (PMP)
- Project Management Institute: Program Management Professional (PgMP)
- Project Management Institute: Portfolio Management Professional PfMP)
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Preferred Qualifications (not required):
- Experience leading IT projects to a successful completion.
- Experience effectively planning, organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple work efforts across different teams.
- Experience building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
