DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, directing, developing, and coordinating the review, analysis, and application of complex contract and grant documents that service individuals throughout the commonwealth. You will provide support to various offices within the Department of Health, including the Secretary's Office, while exercising a significant degree of autonomy. Additionally, you will manage politically sensitive procurements and requests, assist in the review and revision of policies, processes, and procedures, and offer recommendations to the supervisor, Assistant Director, and Director. You may also be required to act as a backup content administrator for the Department's contracts and grants website, possessing full permissions. Moreover, you will be responsible for handling IT-related purchase orders, contracts, and procurements.

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• One year of experience as a Procurement Specialist 1 (commonwealth title); or
• One year of professional experience performing contract management work; and a bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics, project, or operations management, or a related field; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.
