DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Transportation Construction Inspector Supervisor, you will lead construction inspections within Engineering District 10. You will ensure that transportation construction projects meet approved plans, specifications, and contract documents by verifying cuts and fills, checking elevation grades, and overseeing material placement. In this role, you will act as the Inspector-In-Charge on smaller highway projects or assist on larger ones while supervising specific operations. When materials are rejected, or quality issues arise, you will investigate promptly to maintain high standards. You will prepare concise reports, interpret contract requirements for contractors and team members, and guide subordinates in sampling and inspection techniques. Your expertise will be critical in enhancing the quality of our construction and maintenance activities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time on an ad-hoc basis. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Indiana.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
- One year as a Transportation Construction Inspector; or
- Two years of construction inspection experience and an associate’s degree in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, geotechnical engineering, surveying engineering technology, or a closely related engineering technology; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Condition of Employment:
- This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
