DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position you plan, organize, and direct residential care, treatment, social development, and rehabilitation programs for delinquent youth in a state operated facility. You serve as the administer of the individual case management plan per the Master Case Planning system for each assigned delinquent youth. You also direct the provision of individual, group, and family counseling, constructive discipline, security, instruction, recreation, and residential care. In addition, you participate in planning, coordinating, and directing the facility operations including treatment, recreation, housekeeping, business, and administrative activities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- May be subject to emergency call-in.
- Must be willing to accept employment at Youth Forestry Camp #3 and commute to this location in James Creek, Huntingdon County.

- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $74,191 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Youth Development Counselor Supervisor; or
- Two years of professional counseling experience with delinquent, pre- delinquent or socially maladjusted youth in an organized program, which included one year in a supervisory or consultative capacity, and a bachelor’s degree in the behavioral sciences, special education, juvenile delinquency or criminal justice; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training including two years of professional counseling experience with delinquent, pre-delinquent, or socially maladjusted youth in an organized program, which included one year in a supervisory or consultative capacity.

Legal Requirements:
- A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.

This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
