What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Officer 2 (Local Government) - Allegheny County Area Agency of Aging position at Commonwealth of Pennsylvania?
As an Administrative Officer 2, you will be responsible for the project management and administrative functions of the Special Services and Strategic Initiatives Bureau. Primary areas of focus include oversight of the intern program, serving as the lead coordinator for AAA training, and conducting billing and data analysis for the Care Transitions Program.
You will direct the agency's seasonal intern program to include providing supervision and participating in recruitment, retention, and coordination efforts with the DHS intern coordinator as well as university coordinators. In regards to the Care Transitions Program, you will serve as the administrative lead for billing and federal reporting as required for the Community Care Transitions Program (CCTP) and will direct and coordinate purchasing, accounting, records management, and budgeting for the program. Training duties consist of creating a database of trainers and trainings, serving as the Learning Management System (LMS) expert, providing analysis and evaluation of the trainings offered, researching topics of training needs for leadership, creating operational policies and procedures, and working with the Administrative Officer 3 to develop and implement training at the AAA.
Within this role, it is essential to exercise comprehensive independent judgment with minimal supervision except for special assignments, projects, or instructions and to obtain approval of the implementation of any recommendations that are not routine.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 40 hours/week.
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as an Administrative Officer 1; or
- Three years of experience in progressively responsible and varied office management or staff work, including experience in personnel management, budgeting or procurement; and a bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
