THE POSITION

We are actively seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Corrections Library Assistant to join our team and support the daily operations of the library at the State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Camp Hill. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Corrections Library Assistant, you will create and maintain a clean and safe environment that promotes reading and learning for the inmates. Your duties will include assisting the librarian in the training, scheduling, hiring, and termination of inmate library personnel. You can expect to oversee inmate work crews, complete attendance and progress reports, and respond to inquiries from the inmate population and institutional staff pertaining to library resources and programs. In this position, you will assist with the circulation and inventory of library materials and deliver materials to housing units.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 7 : 45 AM to 3 : 45 PM, Saturday - Wednesday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55.
- Salary : In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
