What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corrections Employment and Vocational Assistant position at Commonwealth of Pennsylvania?
The Department of Corrections is seeking a dynamic, well organized, people oriented person to join the team at SCI Huntingdon as a Corrections Employment Vocational Assistant.As a Corrections Employment and Vocational Assistant (CEVA) you will assist in the coordination of inmate employment, the processing of inmate payroll, and inmate bed assignments. In this position you will maintain an accurate daily list of inmate receptions, discharges, cell assignments and job assignments. You will assist in updating and maintaining the Inmate Information System and the Inmate Bed Assignment System. You will also assist in processing monthly inmate payrolls and maintaining a master list of all inmates' work assignments. This position is also responsible for visiting work sites throughout the institution to observe inmates on job assignments and discuss any problems with work supervisors. You will also assist the Corrections Employment Vocational Coordinator in collecting and maintaining data specific to reentry initiatives.

Work Hours and Additional Information:
- Full time employment (37.5 hour work week).
- Work hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Monday - Friday with 30 minute lunch.
- This position is eligible for retirement at age 50/55.

Qualifications:
- Minimum Experience and Training Requirements - Three years of clerical experience; OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.
