DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Intern, you will serve as an Air Quality Forecaster with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) maintaining and further developing its air quality forecasting program, which notifies the public of predicted air quality conditions within Pennsylvania, including predicted exceedances of the health-based primary National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for ozone and fine particulate matter, and helps the air quality program to better understand the atmospheric conditions that contribute to exceedances of the NAAQS for ozone and fine particulate matter.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Full-time internship that will last from 5 / 1 / 2025 through 8 / 29 / 2025
- Work hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch
- Telework : You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, on a schedule that aligns with the supervisor. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
