As a Dog Law Enforcement Warden, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of both humans and animals. Your work will involve inspecting dogs and verifying their licensing status, investigating reports of dogs running at large and apprehending them, and addressing incidents of dog bites by placing quarantines on the involved dogs. Additionally, you will be responsible for investigating claims of damage to livestock or poultry caused by dogs and taking necessary actions to protect public safety. Your role will also include monitoring for any illegal transportation or euthanasia of dogs and addressing public complaints regarding legal violations and inhumane conditions. Your reports and actions will be vital in maintaining a safe and fair environment for both dogs and the community.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Position will be home headquartered if applicant lives in Somerset County. If applicant does not live in Somerset County the assigned state vehicle must be parked in Somerset County and the work day will start at 8:00 AM at the location of the assigned state vehicle.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of experience in dog law enforcement, animal control, animal welfare, or animal science work; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement:
You must be in possession of a valid Pennsylvania driver's license.
Additional Requirement:
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirement:
- You must pass a background investigation.
