DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this role focused on wildland fire management within the Moshannon State Forest, your responsibilities encompass fire suppression, investigation, preparedness, prevention, training, prescribed burning, management of Federal surplus equipment, and assistance to emergency response organizations. Furthermore, you will oversee maintenance staff and occasionally provide guidance and direction to other district personnel, forest fire wardens, and volunteer firefighters engaged in fire-related activities.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework : You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, on an ad-hoc basis. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Penfield.
- Overtime and travel as needed for wildfire assignments, other emergency work, and to attend trainings and meetings
