THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
In this position, you will offer technical support and assistance to forestry staff tasked with ensuring the sustainability of forest resources within the Susquehannock State Forest. This support will be delivered in alignment with the State Forest Resource Management plan, the Timber Management operating manual, and relevant laws of the Commonwealth. All actions undertaken will adhere to the policies and procedures set forth by the Forest District Manager.
Your role involves collaborating closely with forestry staff to enhance their capacity in managing forest resources effectively. Emphasis will be placed on maintaining compliance with established guidelines and legal requirements, ensuring that all forestry practices contribute to the long-term sustainability of the forest ecosystem. Supervision of this position will be provided by the Forest Assistant Manager, who will ensure that the technical support aligns with the strategic objectives of the forest management initiatives.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Seasonal full-time employment without benefits.
- Works hours; Rotating schedule 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM, Monday - Friday; 7 : 00 AM to 4 : 15 PM, Monday - Thursday, alternate day off Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
